A question that we get asked all the time, can your Ooni be left outside? Ooni themselves recommend that to keep your Ooni pizza oven looking fantastic you should ideally store the oven indoors. Especially during heavy rain, snow or extreme UV heat.
It's also worth mentioning that the Ooni oven isn't made with marine grade stainless steel, so if you are in a salt air affected area then you should consider not having your Ooni left outside. Instead we recommend in this instance to keep your Ooni pizza oven indoors protected away from the salt!
Ooni in fact recommend that the stone baking board be stored in a dry environment for optimised performance. The stone is porous so will absorb any moisture in the air, even if it's not raining. The Ooni ovens heat up so fast that its advisable to keep the stone as dry as possible to avoid any possibility of the stone cracking.
Ooni produce high quality covers that are snug fitting, durable and waterproof so that if you want to you can keep your Ooni pizza oven out in the elements. But as they say, storing indoors will ensure your oven stays in the best condition.
